About Lisa Domenic Art
Impressionist. Plein Air Painter. Community Artist.
My Story
My name is Lisa Domenic. I am an artist from Philadelphia, PA. I draw my inspiration from city life and the local landscapes that I have connected to over a lifetime of living and working in this region.
I started painting after I received my diagnosis of Multiple Sclerosis and Narcolepsy. It helped me come to terms with not working as a nurse in the traditional sense. In spite of challenges I am optimistic about the future.
The inspiration for my paintings is influenced by my faith, family, and community. By sharing my story and volunteering I aim to pass that hope to others.
My Style & Process
My language is impressionism. I am drawn to color and light. I am a firm believer in the power of experimentation and play in the artistic process.
My technique is intuitive. I create images in a loose and colorful style, then connect the shapes, values, and brush marks. I often incorporate unconventional material techniques.
With over 10 years of experience painting plein air in historic Philadelphia and picturesque Bucks County, I have worked with a variety of clients, including small businesses.
